I predict some teams to 2-0 this week, some go 0-2, and some go 1-1. Haha.

Obviously with conference play starting everyone wants to get off to a fast start.

We open with the Ga twins in San Marcos, so we’d love to start 2-0.

1-1, meh . . wouldn’t be the end of the world.

0-2, after our OOC start (and I’ll grant that schedule could have been stronger) I don’t even want to contemplate.

Here we go . . . .

Tough start for us but yeah, i'll be disappointed if we don't take at least one.

It will be unbelievably disappointing if Troy loses to Coastal... simply because it's obvious how good Troy can be, considering they beat UAB and WKU on the road... and WKU just beat #15 Wisconsin yesterday.

Unfortunately, UTA is probably looking at 0-2 from the GAS brothers. Heck, State beat us last year when we had talent and a great coach. But this year, we're going to be almost as bad as San Marcos football, or the UL women's basketball team. On a happier note, our girls are 8-3 and just beat SMU for the third time in a row.

I’m actually a little nervous about Ga Southern, as they’re coming off back to back road losses. I believe they’re 1-4 on the road this season, that may seem like good news as we have them at our place, but they’re a good squad, and I think coming off 2 straight losses makes ‘em dangerous.

I think we will be good and a contender in the SBC obviously. But I’m sure there will be bumps lol.

We aren’t a good team. We are the same team as we’ve been past 5 years.

Well, things have gotten tougher in Cajun Country.

After losing probable starter Kobe Julien to an ACL injury during the state BKB tournament in February, Louisiana has lost G/F Malik Marquetti to an ACL as well.

He was playing at an all-conference level. It will be difficult now for the Cajuns to be a factor in the race.

The Belt ends the non-conference schedule at #17.

The NET rankings have us with 1 under 100 (Texas St at 89) 2 more under 150 ( Ga St at 111 and Ga Southern at 140) and 3 more under 200 (Troy at 159 ULM at 164 and Louisiana at 169). The other 6teams are all over 200

Tough start for Jags. Record isn't terrible (7-6) but our SOS is almost dead last and we have no quality wins. Ranked 298 in NET and 329 in Real Time RPI.

Good opportunity with App State and Coastal to start at home. Can't afford to start 0-2 in conference play

Looks like Georgia Southern has a few injuries?

Is Ike Smith expected to play this week? What about Montae Glenn? Anyone else?

Oh Good, our chances of winning tomorrow just shot up from 0 percent to 8 percent! Though one of our wide receivers from the football team has chosen to play basketball this year and is expected to play tomorrow. I don't know what he can do, but he might give us a .5 additional percent chance of winning!

So 8.5 percent

Louisiana -12 vs. A-State sound high with Marquetti out? Or are the Red Wolves really that bad?

Gonna be interesting to see ULM as we enter conference play. If this team is clicking, they penetrate, kick out and there are at least three serious 3 point threats. Smith, Ertel and Munnings have all shown they are capable of scoring 20+ any given night. No size so rebounding and guarding the paint is an huge issue.

-12 is stupid. I could see it with Marquetti, but not without him.

My curiosity keeps my eyes on the state of Texas this week.

We may find out real quick if we're a contender or pretender.
