Troy is loaded.

App has way too many starters coming back to finish 3rd. All the new coach has to do is not F it up.

East: Troy/App (if the coaching change is smooth) Dark Horse - GS

West: ULL gets their first 9-10 win season in a while and wins the west again. Dark Horse - stAte if they have depth

Mostly I picked App 3rd because of the coaching turnover.

As usual some of it comes down to who is the 1 team each team doesn’t play. For us it is Texas St

I believe next year we will see the best troy team maybe ever....the best App team since joining the sun belt and a Georgia Southern team good enough to win the league most years, but maybe will struggle due to the unusually good App and Troy teams next year.

Troy gets App at home.

App also has to travel to ULL and misses a BA led Ark St.

Troy is the clear favorite. They have a very nice OOC schedule as well, could be a special season.

I’m going to predict a SBC title game of Troy and ULL with the loser of the regular season match getting revenge, ULL breaks the heart of a 12-0 Troy.

Not so much getting worse, just a little farther behind some of the other teams in getting where you're going. South Alabama is always a tough cookie to deal with in the sun belt. But you guys have taken a few steps back. You could be much better next year and finish with a similar conference record. But no one underestimates you guys. From an App perspective you guys have been one of our toughest opponents since we joined the belt.

There is no way anyone can pick Appy in the top 2. Now, they could certainly play their way into it, but with that much turnover in the coaching ranks, without even getting into the attrition of players transferring out, it is a steep slope.

Probably the best Troy team of the decade but I would rank the 2007/2008/2009 Troy teams higher - talent-wise. We had several future NFL players and 4*/5* JUCOs on the team back then. However, the 2019 schedule is definitely more favorable and this team might be the best coached Troy team ever. I think it will be Troy vs App St again. New App coaching staff might need some time to adjust but this only means that the 2020 App St team will be the top SBC team and a NY6 bowl contender.

APP returns almost everyone from a team that won the conference and will finish very close to the top 25, and you have them 3rd? Really? Wow, if APP lives up to expections, and still finishes 3rd, it’s going to be a hell of a yr for the SBC.

I think it will be between you and us. We also return a ton, but as long as we arnt VERY injured like this year we will be very tough to beat. Plus returning our coaching staff likely.
