Four of the players I honored were from Hofstra's 91-82 win hosting Towson when Towson didn't score in double overtime. Of the 8 players with the most points, Knight and Fobbs were the only ones I honored. For Hofstra, Wright-Foreman scored 28 but had 1 rebound and 8 turnovers. Pemberton scored 11 and shot field goals 3-for-15, but had 7 rebounds and 1 turnover. Both of them had a weakness. Tareq Coburn started but played fewer minutes than Jalen Ray. Ray today and Howard five days ago mean I honored a bench player in Towson's last two games.

Steven Santa Ana left injured, and if he misses games it means Seibring will probably be the only Elon player I honor. Brantley tied Pusica for the fourth most honors. Stuckey Mosley leads James Madison with 17.4 points, but I've honored three of his teammates more than him. James Madison joins Hofstra and William & Mary as teams with 3 players with at least 2 honors.

William & Mary became the first team to have two players with at least 5 honors. Riller and/or Pemberton could be the second player on their teams to 5 honors. Elon became the last team to get a second player honored. Their 2 honors moves them ahead of a three-way tie for the fewest. Three teams have a majority of the honors with 48 of 95.

With one game left, Wright-Foreman will have sole possession of the most honors unless he doesn't get honored and Knight does. Cacok has the third most, but four players are one behind him.

I think that, for the most part, this list does a good job of representing the make up of teams and who they rely on. I think the one somewhat surprise is the number of Hofstra guys represented, but the sheer volume from JWF paints that picture well.

Hofstra gets very little outside their top six players. If I looked at the top 100 CAA games by players not among the top six on their teams, I'm guessing Hofstra would have less than their share and maybe something like 3.

I left off four players who scored at least 22. I left off Justin Pierce, who had 14 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists. The previous player to do that was on January 14, 2017, it it's the sixth time from 2010-2011 on that a player had at least 14 points, at least 18 rebounds, and at least 8 assists. The CAA is the only conference/association with two of those six players, but Towson's Jerrelle Benimon did it against non-Division I Central Pennsylvania College.

There were enough great performances for a Second Team of the day, which would have had Pierce and Knight. When the top two guys on a team are close, it can keep both of them off my Lineup of the Day. The Analytics section of the statistics thought Knight was better than Pierce. Santa Ana had the best game. I'm not going to leave off Wright-Foreman with 28 points on 12-for-17 shooting or Ithiel Horton with 26 on 9-for-15 shooting who made 4 threes each.
