RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
For February 16, 2019:

Towson's Tobias Howard: 26 points, 7-11 FGs, 4-7 3FGs, 8-10 FTs, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +25

UNC Wilmington's Devontae Cacok: 18 points, 8-13 FGs, 1-1 3FGs (first career make), 1-2 FTs, 16 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 1 block, 4 fouls, 4 turnovers, and +/- of +4

William & Mary's Nathan Knight: 35 points, 13-20 FGs, 0-2 3FGs, 9-11 FTs, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 4 blocks, 1 foul, 5 turnovers, and +/- unknown because the statistics stopped working

William & Mary's Justin Pierce: 18 points, 6-12 FGs, 3-6 3FGs, 3-5 FTs, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, 3 fouls, 1 turnover, and +/- unknown because the statistics stopped working

Charleston's Grant Riller: 33 points, 11-16 FGs, 3-6 3FGs, 8-8 FTs, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +21

Howard became the first Towson player other than Fobbs who I honored.

Charleston (8 by 2 players): Brantley 4 and Riller 4
Delaware (5 by 3 players): Allen 2, Carter 2, and Horton 1
Drexel (4 by 3 players): Demir 2, John 1, and Wynter 1

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
For February 21, 2019:

Towson's Brian Fobbs: 26 points, 7-11 FGs, 4-7 3FGs, 8-10 FTs, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +25

Hofstra's Jacquil Taylor: 14 points, 5-5 FGs, 0-0 3FGs, 4-6 FTs, 17 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 7 block, 3 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of -1

Hofstra's Jalen Ray: 17 points, 5-9 FGs, 5-8 3FGs, 2-2 FTs, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 3 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of +9

Hofstra's Desure Buie: 16 points, 4-8 FGs, 3-6 3FGs, 5-6 FTs, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 1 turnover, and +/- of +10

William & Mary's Nathan Knight: 30 points, 9-16 FGs, 0-2 3FGs, 12-18 FTs, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 8 blocks, 4 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +6

Four of the players I honored were from Hofstra's 91-82 win hosting Towson when Towson didn't score in double overtime. Of the 8 players with the most points, Knight and Fobbs were the only ones I honored. For Hofstra, Wright-Foreman scored 28 but had 1 rebound and 8 turnovers. Pemberton scored 11 and shot field goals 3-for-15, but had 7 rebounds and 1 turnover. Both of them had a weakness. Tareq Coburn started but played fewer minutes than Jalen Ray. Ray today and Howard five days ago mean I honored a bench player in Towson's last two games.

Charleston (8 by 2 players): Brantley 4 and Riller 4
Delaware (5 by 3 players): Allen 2, Carter 2, and Horton 1
Drexel (4 by 3 players): Demir 2, John 1, and Wynter 1
Elon (4 by 1 player): Seibring 4
Hofstra (18 by 6 players): Wright-Foreman 7, Pemberton 4, Taylor 3, Buie 2, Coburn 1, and Ray 1
James Madison (6 by 4 players): Banks 2, Wilson 2, Lewis 1, and Mosley 1
UNC Wilmington (10 by 4 players): Cacok 6, Toews 2, Cylla 1, and Gadsden 1
Northeastern (11 by 5 players): Pusica 5, Brace 3, Green 1, Occeus 1, and Roland 1
Towson (5 by 2 players): Fobbs 4 and Howard 1
William & Mary (14 by 4 players): Knight 8, Pierce 3, Audige 2, and Milon 1

Hofstra became the first team to have six players honored and the first team to have three players with at least 3 honors. I think Wright-Foreman is the best player in the CAA, but Knight took sole possession of the most honors. Towson moved above the tie for the fewest honors.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
For February 23, 2019:

Northeastern's Tomas Murphy: 21 points, 8-12 FGs, 2-3 3FGs, 3-3 FTs, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 0 fouls, 4 turnovers, and +/- of +19

William & Mary's Justin Pierce: 14 points, 6-12 FGs, 1-4 3FGs, 1-2 FTs, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 1 turnover, and +/- of +3

James Madison's Matt Lewis: 40 points, 11-22 FGs, 6-9 3FGs, 12-12 FTs, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 3 fouls, 1 turnover, and +/- of +2

Hofstra's Justin Wright-Foreman: 33 points, 12-18 FGs, 6-10 3FGs, 3-6 FTs, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of -5

College of Charleston's Jarrell Brantley: 24 points, 9-14 FGs, 3-6 3FGs, 3-3 FTs, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 1 foul, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +13

I didn't have a hard time picking these five.

Charleston (9 by 2 players): Brantley 5 and Riller 4
Delaware (5 by 3 players): Allen 2, Carter 2, and Horton 1
Drexel (4 by 3 players): Demir 2, John 1, and Wynter 1
Elon (4 by 1 player): Seibring 4
Hofstra (19 by 6 players): Wright-Foreman 8, Pemberton 4, Taylor 3, Buie 2, Coburn 1, and Ray 1
James Madison (7 by 4 players): Banks 2, Lewis 2, Wilson 2, and Mosley 1
UNC Wilmington (10 by 4 players): Cacok 6, Toews 2, Cylla 1, and Gadsden 1
Northeastern (12 by 6 players): Pusica 5, Brace 3, Green 1, Murphy 1, Occeus 1, and Roland 1
Towson (5 by 2 players): Fobbs 4 and Howard 1
William & Mary (15 by 4 players): Knight 8, Pierce 4, Audige 2, and Milon 1

Northeastern joins Hofstra as having 6 players honored. Donnell Gresham entered today averaging 10.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, but he's not one of those 6. Steven Santa Ana left injured, and if he misses games it means Seibring will probably be the only Elon player I honor. Brantley tied Pusica for the fourth most honors. Stuckey Mosley leads James Madison with 17.4 points, but I've honored three of his teammates more than him. James Madison joins Hofstra and William & Mary as teams with 3 players with at least 2 honors.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
For February 28, 2019:

Drexel's Alihan Demir: 24 points, 9-13 FGs, 0-2 3FGs, 6-8 FTs, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of +7

William & Mary's Justin Pierce: 17 points, 6-11 FGs, 3-7 3FGs, 2-2 FTs, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 1 foul, 3 turnovers, and +/- of +4

Elon's Steven Santa Ana: 20 points, 8-19 FGs, 4-11 3FGs, 0-0 FTs, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 1 foul, 0 turnovers, and +/- of +17

Elon's Tyler Seibring: 18 points, 6-13 FGs, 6-9 3FGs, 0-0 FTs, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 0 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of +24

Hofstra's Justin Wright-Foreman: 32 points, 12-23 FGs, 5-9 3FGs, 3-4 FTs, 3 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 1 block, 5 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +5

Bolden Brace had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and shot 6-for-9. I thought he was better than Vasa Pusica, who scored 22, and Jordan Roland, who scored 17. Brace was the best man out.

Charleston (9 by 2 players): Brantley 5 and Riller 4
Delaware (5 by 3 players): Allen 2, Carter 2, and Horton 1
Drexel (5 by 3 players): Demir 3, John 1, and Wynter 1
Elon (6 by 2 players): Seibring 5 and Santa Ana 1
Hofstra (20 by 6 players): Wright-Foreman 9, Pemberton 4, Taylor 3, Buie 2, Coburn 1, and Ray 1
William & Mary (16 by 4 players): Knight 8, Pierce 5, Audige 2, and Milon 1

William & Mary became the first team to have two players with at least 5 honors. Riller and/or Pemberton could be the second player on their teams to 5 honors. Elon became the last team to get a second player honored. Their 2 honors moves them ahead of a three-way tie for the fewest. Three teams have a majority of the honors with 48 of 95.

With one game left, Wright-Foreman will have sole possession of the most honors unless he doesn't get honored and Knight does. Cacok has the third most, but four players are one behind him.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
I think that, for the most part, this list does a good job of representing the make up of teams and who they rely on. I think the one somewhat surprise is the number of Hofstra guys represented, but the sheer volume from JWF paints that picture well.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
Hofstra gets very little outside their top six players. If I looked at the top 100 CAA games by players not among the top six on their teams, I'm guessing Hofstra would have less than their share and maybe something like 3.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
For March 2, 2019:

College of Charleston's Jarrell Brantley: 23 points, 10-19 FGs, 1-3 3FGs, 2-3 FTs, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 steals, 3 blocks, 2 fouls, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +12

Delaware's Ithiel Horton: 26 points, 9-15 FGs, 6-10 3FGs, 2-2 FTs, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 0 blocks, 4 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of -18

Elon's Steven Santa Ana: 34 points, 13-21 FGs, 7-12 3FGs, 1-2 FTs, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 1 foul, 2 turnovers, and +/- of +25

Northeastern's Vasa Pusica: 21 points, 7-12 FGs, 1-2 3FGs, 6-6 FTs, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 2 fouls, 0 turnovers, and +/- of +21

I left off four players who scored at least 22. I left off Justin Pierce, who had 14 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists. The previous player to do that was on January 14, 2017, it it's the sixth time from 2010-2011 on that a player had at least 14 points, at least 18 rebounds, and at least 8 assists. The CAA is the only conference/association with two of those six players, but Towson's Jerrelle Benimon did it against non-Division I Central Pennsylvania College.

Charleston (10 by 2 players): Brantley 6 and Riller 4
Delaware (6 by 3 players): Allen 2, Carter 2, and Horton 2
Drexel (5 by 3 players): Demir 3, John 1, and Wynter 1
Elon (7 by 2 players): Seibring 5 and Santa Ana 2
Hofstra (21 by 6 players): Wright-Foreman 10, Pemberton 4, Taylor 3, Buie 2, Coburn 1, and Ray 1

Towson (5 by 2 players): Fobbs 4 and Howard 1
William & Mary (16 by 4 players): Knight 8, Pierce 5, Audige 2, and Milon 1

Here are the 36 players ranked:

1. Justin Wright-Foreman: 10
2. Nathan Knight: 8
Tied 3. Jarrell Brantley: 6
Tied 3. Devontae Cacok: 6
Tied 3. Vasa Pusica: 6

Tied 11. Bolden Brace: 3
Tied 14. Ryan Allen: 2
Tied 14. Eric Carter: 2
Tied 14. Ithiel Horton: 2
Tied 14. Steven Santa Ana: 2
Tied 14. Desure Buie: 2
Tied 14. Darius Banks: 2
Tied 14. Matt Lewis: 2
Tied 14. Dwight Wilson: 2
Tied 14. Kai Toews: 2
Tied 14. Chase Audige: 2

Tied 24. Jordan Roland: 1
Tied 24. Tobias Howard: 1
Tied 24. Matt Milon: 1

The top seven and one of the guys tied for eighth have half of the awards.

Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
I’d love to hear the logic on how you leave Pierce off. He was two assists shy of a Triple Double.

RE: Men's Basketball Lineup of the Day
There were enough great performances for a Second Team of the day, which would have had Pierce and Knight. When the top two guys on a team are close, it can keep both of them off my Lineup of the Day. The Analytics section of the statistics thought Knight was better than Pierce. Santa Ana had the best game. I'm not going to leave off Wright-Foreman with 28 points on 12-for-17 shooting or Ithiel Horton with 26 on 9-for-15 shooting who made 4 threes each. Here are some Analytics between Pierce, Pusica, and Brantley:

Efficiency: Pusica 31, Brantley 28, Pierce 27
Game Score: Pusica 22.6, Brantley 19.2, Pierce 14.9
Net Points: Brantley +16.3, Pierce +9.5, Pusica +3.0

If you want to see the Analytics yourself, click on "Home Stats" or "Visitor Stats" and then "Analytics," which is the farthest right option:

http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=240223 for Elon at Towson
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=235849 for Hofstra at Delaware
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=238618 for Northeastern at Drexel
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=236677 for UNCW at CofC
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=239842 for your game

If it's any consolation, I tweet about rare events, and I will tweet about Pierce at twitter.com/EvanJ3535 where I tweeted about Santa Ana yesterday.

I think you could easily have him over Horton, but there could be debate there for sure. Definitely hard to keep him on that day.
