Because of the cancellation?
Speaking for me...yes. Then trying to weasle out of paying the penalty. Richt is a piece of crap. Oh and I detest the pigs. I don't really dislike Memphis. They will play us. I really really love beating them though. Almost as much as I love beating Louisiana and I kind of like them except for the week before and the week after we play.

Put me down for App State or Team Meteor. One or the other.

But to humor you, absolutely. Perusing through your post history to see if you were worth engaging, I noticed you posted the following:
Names don't matter to you because there's no vacuum in your state. Your apathy towards "directional U" name issues is actually expected. There's Georgia, Georgia State, and Georgia Tech. Georgia Southern will always remain Georgia Southern, and there is nothing wrong with that.
It's no secret the ambition of my school has been to fill the vacuum in OUR state, much to the chagrin of graduates of other in-state schools. A state that doesn't have a University of Louisiana. Fellow Cajun fans have skirted the accusations by claiming we only brand ourselves as Louisiana for athletics, and that's true.
But I believe most of us, if not all, desire for our academic school to become the University of Louisiana. Have we earned it yet? Unsure. Our endowment is second to LSU (public universities), although admittedly a far-off second (LSU: $845m, UL Lafayette: $178m, LaTech: $99m, McNeese: $75m). Fans keep claiming we're about to reach the Carnegie classification of R1, which I'm also unsure of. But I won't fault myself for wanting the school I got my degree from to gain prestige.
I feel like others in the Sun Belt should be rooting for us, although I realize some of our fans make it hard. Most opponents say we're trying to claim to be something that we aren't, but I'd say it's more along the lines of striving to become something more than what we are. That's exciting to me. And here I am entertaining a name-game derailment (that I claimed I hated in another thread). Apologies, and cheers to the SBC on this new year.
Every Cajun should have a portrait of Bruno over their mantle. He basically signed off on you being Louisiana and after that it has pretty much been what you are called. We feel like we fought the battle and he lost the war with the stroke of a pen. I would at least think that would stop some of the animosity, as you guys essentially won, as we missed the field goal at the end (pun intended) and Bruno blew it. Congrats.
I think Bruno figures out he had bigger fish to fry than waste time fighting another university over branding.
Every ULM fan should have a picture of Authement who got ULM into the Sun belt.
Dr. Authement played lets make a deal. I'll get you into the Sun Belt. You'll change your name so we can change ours.
Many ULM fans don't like the fact they aren't called NLU any more. They still revile Lawson Swearingen for that move.
But if they hadn't done it, they'd be challenging for Southland titles and playing Incarnate Word every year.
Gonna step down and say hey today Jay.
After all these years reading each other's stuff, it was great to finally meet you today. You guys are really good. And, for the record, I've been calling ULM by that name since the day they asked for it. I have only slipped a couple of times.
