I believe everyone underestimates how good of an offensive playcalling mind Matt Moore has. Before he entered the college ranks, he was OC for nationally-ranked Hoover High School in Alabama. His offenses posted the highest total offensive output per year in the history of Hoover football, and they went 77-7 while he was OC there, winning three state titles at the 6A level.

I also don't believe he'd follow Neal Brown again... He's literally followed Tony Franklin and/or Neal Brown everywhere they have been since 2006, and has been in the same position EACH TIME. He finally was promoted to OC by Neal Brown last year. I find it hard to believe he's going to keep being a follower, doing the same crap all over again.

Guess it depends on if Troy promoted him to HC. I’m Sure he will get a serious look when the time comes. If not he would probably get a nice pay increase being a OC at whatever P5 school he lands at if NB took him with him.

Good article trying to figure out why Neal Brow wasn't hired away in the offseason.

Apparently, he turned down a job offer this year. We don’t know which offer but could be the K-State job. Next year’s Troy team will be the best Troy team of this decade with so many starters and top back ups returning and some new additions. I think next year will be Coach Browns final year at Troy. I would be ok with it. I think Lashlee could be an interesting candidate to replace him. What do Ark St fans think of Lashlee?

Right, you think he turned down millions to stay at Troy? Lololol...money over everything..yolo

Apparently, it was mentioned by the ESPN announcers during the bowl game. CNB confirmed it but wouldn’t reveal to them which offer he turned down.

2-3 million to coach at Kansas state (presumed program he turned down) with the stipulation you have to keep several assistant coaches on current staff. I mean it’s already hard enough to win there with people you want working with you not to have people already selected for you.

So 2-3 million to work at K state and possibly be fired within 5 years or stay at Troy for 800-1million a year and very likely get a better offer next year? Ya I wouldn’t be too surprised in this case.

Brown's wife is extremely happy at Troy, she said that she has never felt like she was home until their time at TROY. Heard this straight from her.

Wives don't really get much of a vote in these things. I mean, up to a point, yes. But when it reaches a multi-million dollar contract she's going to do what's best for the family just like he will. I'm sure he did turn down Kansas State. He'd be a fool to take it under those conditions. The guy they did hire was a rebound who'd take any deal he could find. Brown is not stupid. Sit there at Troy for another year and probably have another great season. Then the real money comes calling. I respect him for that.
