Temple
After the blowout against UConn we now get another AAC team to finish off our OOC. This one at "home". Temple has a good record but has not been a great season so far for them. They have beaten who they should and lost to who they should. Many of their games this season have stayed closer than expected. I have seen the line anywhere form 10.5 to 12 points for Temple at the Palestra. I think that line is pretty close to my feelings for this one. If our defense does not stay in front of the owls, we will be in a lot of trouble. I think we will be able to score fine against them today.

RE: Temple
Looks like a pretty solid sized crowd (naturally it appears about 95% temple fans)

RE: Temple
Defense not sharp early. Too easy for Temple. Need to make good decisions on offense too. Cant have Trevor on the fastbreak turning down open layups for 3's. I realize it is his strength but when nobody is down court and you beat your defender take it for the layup, not a pull up 3.

Under 12 17-15 Temple. The pace actually seems to be bothering Temple some. Pierre-Louis seems like he can score and get to the basket whenever he wants.

RE: Temple
41-30 Temple at half.

Could not have ended worse on that last possession. We had an awkward lob through 3 defenders and we did that too early so they had a few seconds to dribble up the court and hit a banked 3 to end it. Ouch.

I like Harper but every time he is in and running point it is just iso ball with everyone else standing around. When Harper isnt involved our motion has been good. Thankfully Temple is missing some easy layups and taking more 3's than needed. They have zero reason to take 3's since we are not stopping them. We need to find more consistency on offense. Team responded well for a few minutes after the Spiker technical then let it get away in the minute or so.

RE: Temple
82-64 final.

Lots of turnovers and gave them far too many second chances after good defensive efforts. Temple made us pay for our mistakes as well as taking advantage of their second chances. Harper had a good game on offense, nobody else seemed to be able to do much. Tough but expected loss. Would have been nice to have one of these last two games to have been competitive before conference play, but alas we could not keep either close.

I think we are looking like a middle pack team (better than Elon, JMU, Towson). Likely in the mix with UNCW and Delaware. NU and CofC appear to be the class of the conference.

CofC
NU
Hofstra
W&M
Delaware
Drexel
UNCW
Towson
JMU
Elon

Decent crowd of 3,025 at the Palestra today. Not 95% Temple fans like dan suggested, but maybe a 60/40 split. That helped Drexel's YTD average attendance up a bit. It was 1,000 before today's game and now it's up to 1,289. That's all I have to add to the discussion.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR (to those who celebrate)!!!

It was quite about more than 60/40 in favor of temple fans, but the drexel side was louder. I think the temple fans came in taking the game for granted and kind of sat on our hands. Drexel fans got real loud a few times.
