Both Rice and UAB have played pretty weak schedules which has led to their comparatively lower RPIs.

Of their 7 wins to start the season, the Lady Techsters have beaten two SEC teams (Alabama & Ole Miss), two AAC teams (Houston & Memphis) and a Sunbelt team (Ark St).

WKU is not very good this season I think. Strength of schedule has to be in Top 10 though. Played UofL, Oklahoma, Central Michigan, Iowa, Gonzaga, Oregon St. and plays Notre dame tomorrow night. Just like the men the women do not like playing defense either....

Think I'll add WBB to my growing list of favorite MT sports teams along with Club Ice Hockey and Men's Track and Field. In fact, I'm gonna put Rick Insell's Lady Raiders at the top of my list. God knows we need something to salve our wounds over the disaster in FB and MBB this season.

Both Rice and UAB have played pretty weak schedules which has led to their comparatively lower RPIs.

After a solid Win over an AAC team - Tulane (7-3), RPI of 39 - ODU RPI before the win 26 (8-2). ODU will now play for the Championship of the Tulane Classic. Tulane has only lost their own tournament twice in the 23 year history of the event. In fact they were looking for their 11th straight Classic title, however ODU spoiled the party when they defeated them 56 -48 WTG Ladies Nice WIN. Now bring the Tulane Christmas Classic Trophy home. They play Saint Mary's (CA) out of the WCC tommorow at 3pm for the title.

** ODU was picked to finish 11th in CUSA by the Coaches......07-coffee3

RE: C-USA Women's Basketball on the rise.........
ODU listed as an 8 seed in the Madness Bracketology. IMO I think CUSA has the potential to have 3 teams in the NCAA Tournament (UAB, ODU and Middle Tenn.). We also could see two in the NIT (La Tech & Charlotte). Five in the two major Tournaments and even a likely hood that we will see 6 or 7 in post season play I think the ladies will represent well this year. It is still early and a lot can happen. Hope my predictions come to pass.

UAB beat Oklahoma and lost in OT to Tennessee in the Bahamas. They beat FGCU at their place, who was 9-2 going into that game. Other than that, the schedule has been very weak.

I think UAB is the class of CUSA and will be the team to beat. ODU is very young and needs a true center. But, I must admit that Coach McCray has turned the team around and has instilled a mentality and sold the team on the belief they can win. Even more important and that is to never give up.
