Greenville Is Getting an Ice Skating Rink!

If you're looking for a new place to chill, Greenville will soon have the spot for you.

Extensive renovation work is being done right now to turn the former Sportsworld roller-skating rink into the brand new "Blades on Ice" skating rink.

The last time Greenville had an ice skating rink was back in the 1970s. After the rink officially opens, it will provide a place to come to for figure skating, ice hockey, and general skating.

Owner George Wilkerson says ice rinks are popping up in various cities all thanks to the professional ice hockey team Carolina Hurricanes. "Blades on Ice" is expected to officially open their doors Thanksgiving week.

If I can learn how to ice skate again, I'll be up for some hockey. :)
