Damn!!!!

That's more than double thr viewers for Memphis/Temple or UC/Houston games. It is even more than Miss St/Muzzu

Tell me again that Week night games aren't good for the conference

Hard to balance TV exposure with keeping your fans happy. Truth be known the exposure is more important to coaches so recruits can watch without having to make trips. These midweek games are especially difficult at places like App where the primary alumni base is 1-2 hrs away. They also have a big affect on businesses. One of my best friends owns an App State specific apparel business in Boone. He makes 60-70% of his profit from Sept to Dec and took a tremendous hit that first year when we had two such games. I've resigned myself to the fact as long as we're in the SB I'll never see another App/GASo Saturday game. In spite of all the shenanigans I enjoyed going to Statesboro, but my job makes it tough to make that midweek trip. Have to admit I do like the ability to watch away games no matter where I'm at. My perfect world would be to go back to Saturday games and have a conference wide streaming package.

Lot of viewers comparatively. A lot of that is probably less viewing options on Wednesday vs. Thursday (no NFL game mostly) and obviously Saturday.

Bodes well for USA/Troy tomorrow night. Yanks/Stros at the same time though won't help. Plenty of football-specific fans in this country though that will tune in on a Wednesday night with no other football games on at all.

As someone who has trouble even watching games on TV Saturdays because I spend nearly every weekend at field hockey tournaments spread from Virginia Beach to Philadelphia, I selfishly love App playing on week nights because I can actually watch them live on a big screen rather than my phone.

Obviously the conference, AD's, and admin feel mid week games do much for exposure and desire it. I agree provided the exposure is a good one and that is not the case at this time. The exposure I see from this says the SBC is a minor player in the football world with limited attendance and sometimes questionable football teams. My approach would be to build the program at home, do things right with attendance, pre-game etc., promotion, then look to TV.

Serious question, how many high school kids are sitting around watching college football all day on Saturdays?

As for your perfect world, it is everyones world. How many people are going to be buying a Sun Belt streaming package? The move to FBS wasn't just about more regional exposure. Having games on National TV provides Sun Belt football an audience that they otherwise wouldn't have. This isn't FCS, this isn't Sports South, this is FBS football. App and Southern should have enough leverage to push for a Saturday night game. And, if nothing else, they need to at least mic the stadium properly.

This. I don't know what the numbers look like in terms of the value of exposure, but as someone who is rarely able to make a live game anymore, I'd much rather turn on the TV on a random weeknight and find an SBC game than two teams no one cares about from some other conference no one cares about. And even the conferences people care about...I usually don't anymore...
