Well, it was a loss but Vermont is a good team and yesterday they were just a little better than us in almost every category. I wish that there was a stat for "easy layups." We took away their three point game and they took away ours. The difference was in how both teams reacted to that. Too many times we either had a shot clock violation or took a tough long shot with seconds remaining. They didn't. They drove the lane for layups or hit a cutter for a layup. Maybe that will change next year with Tyson.
A couple of other things.....Vermont has an attendence problem but yesterday's game was packed! The announcers were more than fair, especially Ciplecki, who I think played for them a while back. Their fans are really polite. As the announcer pointed out you could hear a pin drop not only when they were shooting free throws but when we were shooting them, too

NU is back on the floor Sunday afternoon when they host Vermont 7-4). It’s the first meeting with the Catamounts since 2018.
