RE: Sun Belt basketball schedule for Week 7 (Mon. Dec. 17 thru Sun Dec. 23)
Troy made a 2-point shot with 9 seconds left to beat UAB, 74-73.

UAB actually made a desperation 3-point shot and made it, and everyone thought UAB won... but the refs looked at the monitors and said the UAB player walked with the ball after initially losing control of it.

Great game overall, I don't think either team lead by more than 9 or 10 points at any time.

We took down the CUSA preseason #1 at their house, then beat one of CUSA's perennial powers at their house.

We brought back some bragging rights for you, Sun Belt. You're welcome. COGS

You do realize a large portion don't care if we ever beat CUSA in basketball...right?

It's just not a sport many here care about. Even when Tech beat one of what's supposed to be our best teams in UL, no one really said anything. Ditto when Troy beat WKU.

With the win against Coppin St, Coach Richard gets career win 250.

We'll be sneakily ok. Home tournament game is a realistic goal this year. The belt is pretty good imo

It's sad, really. That's why Sun Belt basketball sucks. Because fans don't give a ****. No support.

Any other Bobcats going to Fayetteville today?

Also, do any Astate fans know any cool places to get lunch in fayetteville?

For those not traveling, the game's on The SEC Network.

Little Rock losses a hard fought battle to Georgetown in OT 102 - 94
Foul trouble gave us the loss.

However we got the play of the game:
https://twitter.com/SInow/status/1076559387169353729

Little Rock finishes non-conference with a 5 - 8 record.
Honestly could've been a 10 - 3 record if we could've made our free throws or not foul out the starters. However, we got a young team and non-conference is the time to learn the mistakes.

I don't think we are a top 4 team in conference this year but I can't see us being in last with the young talent we have this year.

Uhh, you realize Fayetteville is over 5 hours away from Jonesboro, right? It's not a place we're ever likely to go.

It has little to do with fans. On average how many Sun Belt universities give two licks about their basketball program? Georgia State, UTA, Little Rock, Texas State?

I'm aware. I'm sure there are no Astate alums from Fayetteville and that no Astate fan has ever set foot in the town. Sorry for asking....

Final: Hogs 73, Bobcats 70. Nothing to feel bad about here.

Bobcats didn’t help themselves missing 13 from the free throw line. But other than that, not a bad loss.

I’m sure there’s some fans out there that have been. I never have and I’m 54. I’ve been all around it but never in it.
