I mean, my high school had our starting DT arrested on the football field. He'd robbed the post office the day prior, in a dress. How the heck did the local police not know how to find him?

edit: It is Coward County police officers. They aren't exactly the most competent bunch. This is the second time this year they've been in the news for failing at their jobs. Scott Israel should be even more ashamed.

they probably only discovered he had an outstanding warrant when they were making sure all the players were straight for travel.

I doubt it BSO wouldn't give a crap about FIU's season. FIU does not have much presence in broward county. They have a small campus in SW broward but thats about it.

There are almost 6 million people in the tri-county area...approximately 2.75 million in Miami-Dade County (FIU's county)...I doubt they cared about helping FIU get through the season by not arresting him during the season.
