JMU would be a 5th Virginia FBS school at this point. I don't see how that helps us.
Again I'd think the MAC would have to get out to Northern Iowa before going to the Dakotas could be considered. That won't happen so long as NIU is in the MAC.

Bringing in FCS teams would not be in the MACs best interest. We need more teams to drop to FCS. Teams like App st move up and are now regurally beating us in bowl games.

Getting N Iowa due to a game for ND State being a little closer on their slate? I don't see how that'd be such a big factor and overturn travel costs.
Curiosity: I don't see how NIU would be leaving the MAC, tho. I don't see them having a leg up over Ohio or Toledo, or possibly WMU for that matter since $$ willing to invest is a big factor. If/when 1 or 2 teams from AAC goes to the B12, I wouldn't see NIU being jumped on. I would assume Marshall + another CUSA, App State, or possibly a MAC team but I don't see how/why NIU would stick out so much. Now, if NIU were .500 in their bowls -- then maybe I could see them sticking out. No knock on NIU; there's plenty to roll eyes about in the MAC. If NIU wouldn't "limp" to the MACC game so many times when trying to establish themselves and get beat in the bowls every time, then I could understand how they would shine out more.

I'm thinking Northern Iowa and Illinois St as all sports members if the MAC was raided. That way the MAC can weaken the MVC further.
Then maybe at that point NDSU/SDSU make sense as FB only schools while they can keep their other sports in the Summit.
Its all a hypothetical discussion at this point anyways as there is no movement on the horizon.

The last conference re-alignment cycle didn't impact the MAC. I don't see any MAC teams getting poached any time in the near future.

At 2:00 pm, I'll have the Penn 10-2@Toledo 11-1 BB radio stream on also.

Toledo raped Penn. No exaggeration. Won by 32.
