Renard is incredible. Hope he keeps going with the videos next year. Gonna miss Sutton Smith if he leaves for the NFL. His TFL when they were down 29-10 in the MAC championship tells you all you need to know about him. Literally fired up the whole team. Leads by example.

What a great video- gets me so fired up.

Maybe, just maybe we win our Bowl game, Sutton comes back and we have a decent start next year we will gain some fan support traction and pull in a few 20,000 attendance home games & get Huskie Stadium rocking. He has the star power that just might get it done.

If he comes back you have to think NIU would be close to a preseason top 25 ranking and an early victory against a power 5 opponent would put NIU in the top 25. That would also build some hype.

I doubt any G5 gets ranked preseason unless they finish the year ranked and have the majority of key players coming back.

Not to sound corny, but Sutton reminds me of a leopard or some other big cat the way he closes in for the kill with such speed and strength. He brings these guys down like they're nothing. That tackle on the goal line in the MACC was amazing--Buffalo's QB is a big dude! If Sutton goes pro, all the best to him. But selfishly I REALLY want to see another NIU/Sutton Smith highlight real next December.

If Sutton Smith comes back that would be a majority of the defense coming back. Sharping would be a big loss but most of offense will be back as well.
