I understand what you're trying to say... but it's the schedule and it's a little too late to edit.

It brings back the old argument that we have on the Parliament ad nauseum...schedule Prairie View, Abilene Christian, Lamar and McMurry, go 4-0 (?2-2)...play in front of fewer fans that we do already, try to sell more tickets by giving group discounts to every PTA in Harris County and head into Conference with a winning record...or... play a schedule like we have this year, in front of a LOT more fans, put some $$ in the bank, get some national TV exposure, and get our hats handed to us...by half-time almost every game.

This year's schedule sets up really well for me, personally, to try to attend a lot of games. I am planning to go to the Army game and could realistically attend 10 out of 12 games... But, I had high hopes for 2018, too, and planned to be there for 6 or 7. I went to 2. 'Couldn't stomach any more.

RE: 2019 Football Schedule
I think the critical juncture of the season will come during the mid-point bye week. Are we thinned by injuries and demoralized, or do we come out strong and win at UTSA?
If we did, and then could pull out a win at home against USM, then I could see the team take a spirited run -- with a possible bowl game as a goal.

RE: 2019 Football Schedule
With Army and Wake having stronger than usual teams, this schedule looks brutal. Don't see us favored in a single game as of now. Even the non-conference looks tough with winnable games being on the road (@UTEP, @UTSA, @MTSU) and tough conference opponents at home (Marshall, S Miss, NT, LT). Hopefully some of these teams suffer a drop from 2018 and we improve significantly.

No disagreement that this schedule is far superior to playing a bunch of terrible teams to pad our record. Going 1-11 with a win against Lamar is the equivalent of going 0-12.. both mean you are terrible.

Our OOC schedule is perfect for exposure. I'm merely lamenting the fact that our program is a mess and likely cant capitalize.

Look on the bright side. We play bye twice and those guys haven’t ever won a game that I can recall. Of course UTEP was on a 20 losing streak and we figured out how to lose that one. Maybe bye gets a win this year.

I remember seeing that during the Neely years.
