And another respected national COY award makes C-USA's COY award look like a joke.

Agreed. I don’t see how Clark wasn’t named C-USA’s Coach of the Year.

He is one reason that I totally disagree with but it’s a reason. Every year that Coach Clark has been eligible for the COY he has won the award except this year. Everyone is for UAB bringing back football until we beat you. Stockstill is a very good coach but he brings no excitement to MTSU. I saw it firsthand. The lower the expectations the better job you do.

Maybe because UAB and Coach Clark are making quiet inquiries into new conference affiliation? Nah, probably not.

He wasn't voted COY because the league coaches voted on it and most probably didn't think he warranted it since he has 35 seniors and 45 JUCOs (or something similar). National media is eaten up with their comeback - as they should be - and it's been great to see UAB back, but I definitely get the league coaches being a little irked by how he was able to put his roster together. Again, not knocking UAB because it was a damn tragedy at what happened to them, but I just see why the guys who have to compete against it wouldn't be too high on it.

I don't have a problem with Clark not winning COY. Id rather have National COY and the Conference Championship.

If anyone has an issue with our 40 yo players and former NFL stars we have at every position they can chose the same route and I won't complain one bit.

See I can over exaggerate as well.

Where's the exaggeration? I just counted your roster from your own school's website.
36 seniors (I said 35, my bad for shorting you one!)
67 players who didn't begin their careers at UAB (I said 45 JUCOs)

I'm pretty sure something like 12 or 13 of the seniors never saw meaningful playing time. People have over exaggerated in past threads acting like we have tons of highly rated 24 and 25 year old JUCOs we just rotate out every down. Most of the "name" players aren't seniors and the highest rated JUCOs never really played for us due to grades or other problems.

We have an old starting defensive and offensive line and we are losing a lot of them which will definitely hurt for a year or two. I don't think it will be as dramatic as people want it to be though. If Clark fills in the gaps next year properly then it will be a 6-8 win season next year probably.
