Early on in Barber’s writing for the DNR and his coverage of the JMU FB program he was guilty of writing snide and inaccurate comments about the Dukes. He was called on one extremely egregious example and his boss made him post an apology. His coverage improved after that, about the same time JMU won the NC in 2004.
