He's not exactly a secret, but did Jones actually officially commit? I don't recall a public announcement from him. Interesting to see if he values his track experience as much as his football and if rival schools try to leverage him to change his mind.

Saw that David Roulley had 4 interceptions and 2 TDs in 7v7 action last night. No idea who he was competing against, but it shows off his very good ball skills. Multiple biased comments calling him the best safety in the state.

RE: 2021 Football Recruiting
How do you all think the impact of the new AD and the issues surrounding the athletics department will effect the signing off the current commitments? Do you think we will get more committs? Class seems small but that could be on purpose due to COVID and NCAA eligibility changes.

Our new AD had better tread lightly if he or she even thinks of messing with our football staff. Leave all of them in place and we should have no problem retaining our commits. I do think we are all but done recruiting "new" players, at least until we know more about seasons.

Amen. This staff will win. And they will recruit. I agree that they are most likely in a wait and see mode based on roster turnover heading into next year.

Everyone should be healthy and injury free. The 18 months off should be good for everyone except for the fans

2021 Football Recruiting
Kendall Cross is still linking his hudl film to various schools' recruitment tweets (Elon is the latest). I'm starting to think he didn't commit to us over the summer, we removed his scholarship offer bc of uncertainty about 2020 & 2021 seasons, and now he's searching. He took a chance and it may have backfired.

This year I think recruits need to be as conservative as possible. With the eligibility rules allowing all current roster players to come back teams will be bringing in smaller classes. Will be interesting to see how many fringe scholarship kids become walk ons instead.

Any idea the size of the classes of other CAA schools?

Recruiting target Bo Kite is set to commit on October 29th. HS QB that projects as a LB in college was a one-time priority recruit for us. Not sure where we are at with the 2021's since we might be done with scholarships for this class.
Has a bunch of FCS offers and quite a few FBS PWO options.

ILB is still a need for the '21 class. Kite doesn't play there in high school but you don't have to watch much of his defensive film to see that he certainly could play inside.

Updated his commitment day to Wednesday the 28th. My gut tells me that he takes a PWO spot at UVA.

I've seen mounting evidence to suggest Kendall Cross holds a PWO offer with us, not scholarship. His latest offers, all PWO, from programs not on our level.
