Not sure of his priorities, but he is a native of South Carolina if proximity to home factors in.

Wilson kid seems like he was highly coveted. Seems like a pretty good get. Wonder if this article gives us a boast on the recruiting front.

3* California WR Jesse Campbell III announced that he plans to commit Sept 8th. I would be shocked if we are a finalist.

I never like losing out on guys, but nothing but respect to kids who choose to go to a service academy.

I don't think 2021 recruiting is really done, but the unified social media for the football program indicates they have now moved on to the 2022 class.

It's a national trend...as in, "Class of 2022" is actually trending. We're probably only halfway through our 2021 class, so I believe our play from here to early signing is to retain the guys who verbally committed, apply pressure on fence-sitters, and continue contact with players who may have cold feet or want out after their college choice offered a player from the same position group.

RE: 2021 Football Recruiting
I feel like a number of kids in the 2021 class will be left out of the mix because of the extra year of eligibility being provided to kids in college right now. The numbers game is just not going to work

Tribe offered Bo Kite, 6'3 220 QB/LB/ATH out of Deep Run HS in Glen Allen, VA.

Tons of offers. Apparently, we offered him some time ago.

Multi sport athlete. Big kid, runs well. Sadly, he was involved in boating accident at Lake Anna during the lockdown and his friend and star receiver drowned in the accident. Hope he can get through this and find his way going forward. I was looking forward (live very near Deep Run HS) to watching the team this year, perhaps now in 2021.

The mentioned kid, Gabe Henderson, had an offer and was a priority recruit for this coaching staff. Sad stuff.

RB target Jayden Jenkins committed to Army.

We lose out on another recruit to the service academies. I thought with his close relationship to commit Wilson that we might have a legit shot.

Probably very few schools’ commitments flip more often than those of the service academies. Until those kids end up at West Point or Annapolis I never count them as being lost.
