Parking is right next to the stadium. Be sure to call ahead and reserve your spot. You get 2 spots for the $20. It's great, especially if you have several cars in your group.

I was told e lot, which is for tailgating is first come first serve.

You get reservations for E Lot.

3. NIU - 26 EMU - 23 (OT)
4. WMU - 27 EMU - 24
5. Army - 37 EMU - 22

They beat Purdue who curb stomped Ohio State.

Based on their losses, it doesn't look like they were far off from being one of the Top G5 teams in the country this season. It all comes down to finishing games and EMU couldn't do it. That Army score should be music the Georgia Southern fan's ears.

Just a couple of notes. The San Diego State game was an overtime loss. SDSU sent it into OT with a 50-yd FG as time expired. The Northern Illinois game went 3 OT and EMU had a chance to win but our freshman PK missed a chip shot in OT that would have won it. The Army game was 30-22 late until Army scored late to put it away.

Yeah, it was a rough stretch, but I think EMU pulled it together nicely to finish the season strong.

Hoping for a good game in Montgomery. My wife and I are making the trip from Oklahoma, our second bowl trip in the past two years (went to the Bahamas Bowl in '16) after no bowls and pretty much no winning seasons for the previous oh, say, 30 years or so.

Hope to meet some of you down there!

A bit nervous going into this game. EMU looks like a good team and if our offense sputters then it could turn into an ULM type loss for GS.

Seems like EMUs rush defense is better than that. You could beat EMU but it seems unlikely to be a blowout. We only beat EMU because they missed a FG.

Even when we’re executing well it can be a crapshoot. Sometimes a defense just seems to dial up everything perfect and/or fumbles come out of nowhere and/or reads and pitches are just a half-tick off and nothing works.

Then there are the days where the defense looks like it’s guessing all day and our offense looks like a bunch of RBs trying out their 40 times.

The two halves of the 2015 GoDaddy bowl sort of show my point. It wasn’t that bad for us in the first half, but everything went our way down the stretch.

Don't know if it was mentioned here or not but Coach Lunsford is paying for a bus to charter students to the bowl game -

And to top it off the Eagle Football Alumni Association has agreed to provide a ticket to the game for the first 50 kids that sign up for the bus. A free ride and a free ticket... I'm proud of my school!

We had a game like that against Fresno State once, put 73 points on them, 50 by halftime - we ran the wishbone back then. Our QB got over 300 yards rushing until he got pulled and I don't think he got his jersey dirty. But they lost to Northwestern the week before. You never know, I guess.

Better than their record indicates but the MAC was ranked behind the Belt this year as well as GS being ranked much higher than EMU. With the Purdue upsets I think the EMU schedule rank got a nice bump but that is the only on paper advantage as of now.

Not as easy a game as first glance with all those close losses but how we are underdogs going in is insane. Should be a pickem at worst. I think the two weeks helps our D more than the O. O line is what it is as of now, our D seemed to do much better with time to prepare.

I don’t think we have an offense good enough to blow any bowl team out.

Depends on which offense shows up and how far into the game the show up. We've started slow several times and then went on a tear.

Apparently EMU's defense gives up 5+ yards per carry on 51% of attempts.

That's uh....not a good formula for success against a team that likes to run the ball.

EMU fan here.

Hey dummies - we play Army every year hahaha

But seriously triple option teams suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck to defend. I think it'll be a good game, especially if our starting QB is healthy. we have a couple senior RBs that are pretty fun to watch. should be some good trench football.

We dont run Army's offense but in the same family.

So our HC is paying for a chartered bus to the game for students, cole swindell is doing the same for students in Atlanta, and another alum just paid for 20 more students to go.

That's some school spirit right there. Looks like we should have a good showing

How are your ticket sales going?

I am hoping to head up to Montgomery on Saturday after work to catch the game. What side of the stadium is Georgia Southern on?

Your PxP guy was on the Montgomery sports station this morning, got me ready to watch some more football!

From what I understand, our ticket office is ahead of our first Bowl game sales.

I would expect to se at least 15k there from GSU. A 5 hour drive is easy...Or a %55 min plane flight.
