Alcorn beat us 20-6 in our place this year. They have been beating us past 5 years with huge offensive lines and smashmouth running. Hard to withstand them physically.

I agree. The SWAC isn't the SEC, the interest just isn't there to have the game at a neutral site.

I agree. The SWAC isn't the SEC, the interest just isn't there to have the game at a neutral site.

The interest and numbers definitely suggest otherwise. I like the top seed hosts idea but what happens if a Mississippi Valley or an UAPB is that top seed? Those schools don't have the capacity to host such a game. The SWAC isn't the SEC but an average of 32,048 for conference title games from 1999-2017 show that the SWAC title game draws better than almost every G5 title game. The atmosphere was GREAT on Saturday but this game in Birmingham would've drawn A LOT more than the 21k reported which was one the smallest attended SWAC title games.
