Some of the relevant sections:
12.8 - student can't compete more than 4 seasons
12.8.1 - student has 5 years to complete four seasons
12.8.3 - Any competition, regardless of time, during a season is counted as a season
12.8.3.1.4 Preseason exhibitions/preseason practice scrimmages are not couted (so had he not played during the regular season, it would have been okay for Coletrane to play against Clarion, but once he entered the game against Robert Morris, that counts as a season - unless a hardship waiver applies)
12.8.4 Hardship waiver - used to get an additional year
hardship is injury or illness that meets the following
a) occurs during four season of competition or after first day of senior year of HS (e.g. I believe Fouch's first injury happened prior to his entering Drexel, it was at least before the season)
b) occurs prior to first competition in second half of season
c) for team sports occurs when student has competed in less than 30% of games
12.8.4.2 need to have appropriate documentation from physician who administered care
12.8.4.5 if you comeback in the second half of the season and get re-injured, you don't qualify for hardship
