Good game to watch. SB sure figured out how to thread the seam in the 2nd half. Was impressed with them. We’ll be back next year and be tough.
That said, can’t help but think of this:

Bummer. Thanks to the graduating seniors for bringing us a National Championship in 2018.


On a side note, I've been working over at UNC for the past year at the new Indoor Football Practice Facility & Team Buildings and they have quite the setup. The Women's Lacrosse field and locker rooms (I think Women's Soccer has some of the space too) is top quality. They are going to win some recruiting battles with what they've put together for some of their sports teams.

This is why we lost. No aggression all game long. They let stony brook control the game’s pace.

A disappointing end to an otherwise good season.

Stony brook wanted that win more in the second half. You won’t win many sporting events where you don’t attempt to score. Learn from this and improve for next year.

No matter who won, Maryland was going to steam roll them.

Yep, yep, and yep. Great great season. Unfortunately they just didn't have that fire in the second half. Last year there were multiple players with that killer instinct.

Neither team in that game today was gonna have a chance against Maryland. We can try to spin it any way we want, but it would have taken a miracle for JMU to beat Maryland in this situation in College Park.

Hard for me to call it a "great" season when we went 1-4 vs NCAAT teams and our best win was over High Point. Winning a conference championship is never anything to scoff at though, so that was good. I'm sure everyone knew it was going to be a major challenge this season with everything we lost from last year. Program is in good shape. Hopefully there will be some bigger wins on next year's resume'. Good job, Dukes!

You have to remember we were just absolutely hosed in our playoff draw. I doubt there was a more 50/50 first round match in the country than the one we just played.

Well, I don't think we were hosed. Our best win was over High Point. Our only win over a NCAAT team. Wins over Penn State and Va Tech were over teams that wound up with a losing record. The CAA was no competition to the Dukes. But, c'est la vie.

Any time a JMU team makes a NCAAT it’s been a good season. No need for qualifiers. Coming off a NC makes the early WLAX exit a bit disappointing, however, there is always next season to look forward to with a Jr. Goalkeeper who did win a NC and a more seasoned supporting cast. The program is only going to grow stronger from here.

This is the way it's suppose to be, disappointed when we are "really good", but not great and we were most definitely "really good". This program is rolling.
