Well maybe they'll be able to improve on that dreadful offense.

I honestly think this is the shift you guys need to get things turned around (regardless of who actually carries out the strategic change). These run heavy offenses are tough to pull off if, like most G5 schools, you find it difficult to recruit big road grading OL's who are reasonably nimble. Those guys are very limited in number and almost always end up at a P5. Much easier to find skill guys and spread things out enough that you dont need road graders to run the ball. There are a ton of talented skill guys in Texas. Always thought there was huge potential at Texas State if they could ever get it rolling. I think this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Hired a former Bear who was moving up the coaching ranks. Congrats name change buddies on a good one.

Think he was on the Cajuns list at one time.

If he can resurrect our moribund offense, there will be a lot of happy Bobcats.

Bob Stitt had quite a bit of HC experience too so he'd be a good asset to lean on as a first timer if he's coming as OC.

That would be a good OC hire. He's a football-smart guy, just not a good program manager.
