Donny B’s vaunted #1 Michigan defense in a big spot got absolutely torched by Ohio State.

Kind of reminded me in a small way on how his NU defense got shredded by Fordham (coached by Dave Clawson now at Wake Forest) in our only playoff appearance in 2002.

If I went to Michigan I’d still be sick to my stomach right now.

NUGuy I believe you were at that Fordham game like me too.

Absolutely. I remember sitting in the top row in the stands and turning around and seeing the line of people waiting to buy tickets. It went from the ticket office made a right hand on the driveway that led to our tailgate spot almost all the way to the street behind the scoreboard. Great crowd lousy result. I lost track of Don. Michigan didn't look like a Don Brown defense against OSU.

Brown, after spending 5 seasons as Michigan defensive coordinator, was fired by Jim Harbaugh.

He has resurfaced as the DC at Arizona.

He was successful his first 3 years as Michigan had very good defenses, but the last few, including this season have been rough.

Basically he was made the scapegoat.

Brown got hired as the head coach at UMass, his 2nd stint there.
