The fella plays extremely solid and proper defense.

Team is clicking as a whole right now. My only worry was when it looked like Fornes was trying to do too much and took it from a offense focused on moving the ball with precision to sloppy and lazy passes. That’s when we pulled a bit and least carolina came back in it. Then he went back to letting the offense come to him instead of forcing it and we closed out the half up double digits.

If we play another 20 min of fundamental ball we win this game easy.

Oh. And can someone tell Cylla not to shoot 3’s, especially not twice in one half. Lol

Man was feeling it out there. I excused the first one as a heat check when our offense couldn’t miss, but the one he took from the corner made me face palm.

Nice to see us mix in some press, zone and traps. Makes a HUGE difference in giving the players confidence on defense.

We are having a really hard time with their big men in the paint. Cacok is getting doubled the second he gets the ball. Good news is that ECU is really bad on offense. No passing or movement, and can't hit the three.

We need to keep getting the ball up the court fast off rebounds.

Cylla, Fornes, O'Connell, Gasden and Toews playing really well. Cacok having a hard time with their size in the paint. Looks like this one is going to be won with defense and our perimeter game.

You can see that O'Connell's weakness is on offense. Well worth it for his rebounding and defense.

Toews passing seems contagious. Everyone making great passes tonight.

I know ECU isn't a quality opponent, but this is the first time since McGrath has arrived that i've seen play that makes me feel like we can compete in the CAA.

Agree, I know exactly what you mean. Playing quality offense and defense. Even when ECU made some runs, we always have an answer.

And great passing/ball movement leads to increased defensive intensity on the other end.
