In 2019 BYU is assured of the Hawaii Bowl vs AAC. There’s a contract.
There isn’t a Bowl contract for BYU In 2018.

We first need to know how many bowl eligible teams there are. That is still being determined. In the last hour, USM amd Minnesota became eligible.

In 2019 BYU is assured of the Hawaii Bowl vs AAC. There’s a contract.
There isn’t a Bowl contract for BYU In 2018.

BYU's contract isn't with a bowl but with ESPN. If BYU wins 6 games their tv contract with ESPN guarantees them a spot in an ESPN controlled bowl.

You might be right, but Miami went 6-2 in the MAC and their OOC losses were to Army, Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Marshall

I think Lafayette is 7-5 and Monroe Is 6-6

Usually the strongest conference gets the nod. MWC could get six in. They did get 7 into bowl games one year. Air Force needed one more win to be number 8. MAC, C-USA and SBC do get the short end of the stick for bowl placement. MWC do have a sixth bowl. MWC do have the better resume than MAC, C-USA and SBC.
