King Karl Interview on Jonesboro Radio

Some interesting stuff in this one, provided one ignores him as he tries to create a mythical scenario in which the App/Troy winner doesn't host the title game.

Does note that the NOLA agreement this year was made with an eye to bowl restructuring in 2020. Says we'll have 5 bowl tie ins every year beginning in 2020, but that we might have 7 or 8 games we have ties with.

Rotating five bowls between 7-8 locations would be great, help with variety.

Obviously Myrtle Beach would be in the mix, any speculation on the other 2-3?

He mentioned Dallas a lot in the interview, as well as a possibility in Florida.

With Idaho and NMSU gone, the Arizona Bowl is probably going to only be a secondary Sun Belt bowl at best.

This was tried before and fell the hell apart.

If the WWL is running it this time it might work.

We've got a great geographic situation with four out of five in our footprint but the overall system leads to some less than ideal match-ups.

It would be nice if we could rotate into a bowl vs a P5 conference occasionally but I'm hoping the New Orleans Bowl will become our Champ vs another G5 Champ every year.

I would like to see one of the current MAC match-ups switch to either AAC or CUSA, and then add a game in Texas with the MWC. I'm not sure we'll get more than a secondary look for a P5 game.

I concur with this
