That's normally our minimum requirement, but we had offered to play this particular matchup at home against Miami as a makeup for last year's situation. Hurricane refused, but we continued to hold it open during the court battle just in case they settled.

Once it was agreed they'd just buy out the remaining game, we had to take less with fewer options for guarantees available. Until the Huskies popped up, 1.3 was the best offer we had gotten.

I'd be in for a trip to the Great Northwest!

Literally Mohajir said word for word that we had to take less this time because we had held the game open for Miami. Meant we had to late till later on to fill the game, and had fewer choices for remaining opponents

We're still short a home and home for 2021.

I remember when App announced the home and home and buy game with UNC, Mohajir said "some teams might do that, but we don't."

We've negotiated for those several times, Terry has told me that, it just has never happened because no one will meet our price for the non-returned game.

Hey I'd love to play someone who paid less but we gotta make budget. Previous ADs often did take lower paying games and having to play two for a check wasn't uncommon. The philosophy now is get fat check and play one.

He's actually said that we will. But he wants over 1.5 million for that 2nd away game.

Budget wise, we have to get over 1.5 million in a single guarantee game. If we take less, we'll have to take a 2nd guarantee, which hinders our ability to have 6 home games.

The problem is always that second away game...everybody wants to cheap out because they gave you a P5 home game.
