We've got other wealthy alums, and hiring someone with a championship on his resume will likely make it easier to get donations than it was under the last several coaches.

Yeah... I imagine this hire will get some stale donors to reach deep for the first time in a while, and some others to dig a little deeper. This is the most exciting thing to happen to Kansas football since... 2007.

There was the hiring of Charlie Weis by Kansas in 2012. He was earlier fired by Notre Dame. It left very dismal results.

That said, Les Miles proved to be a much better college HC at multiple places. He seems motivated, and knows how to re-build a program into a competitor.

If nothing else he'll recruit some better players - possibly at the expense of Missouri.

More likely at the expense Kansas State where Snyder will be retiring soon, at Oklahoma State where Les will have experience in landing recruits from DFW and Louisiana, and probably over T.C.U. due to the same.

Cant' wait to see him in the Big 12, let's hope he can bring Kansas back to where they once where!!!
