Never forget.
All time, Georgia State has only scored one touchdown versus App State, and that was last year with a short field.
Weather looks okay for Saturday. Snow is coming Friday.
Was Georgia State also the team you ran the fake field goal with the long-snapper being the eligible receiver? Those are some great plays, but I don't get using them when you've got a three-TD lead over a team you're favored over.
If you'd have been there that day freezing your buns off only to have those jabrones call three time outs in a row, you'd get it. That was clearly a "oh yeah? Chew on THIS."
Symmes McElfresh (yeah, the guy who ran in the fake) is now an announcer for App football. He tells it like this. Coach Satt called up the fake the first time that we went out, and just kept it on the whole time. I am sure that he was a lot happier that he had called it after those consecutive timeouts!

But rubbing it in is not necessary. GG App State.
Had this just been a fake FG for a touchdown, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Your coach called all his timeouts consecutively. Your coach made it a big deal.
Not our coach no more. He also called for a fake punt at our own 20 against ULL. He played Madden a lot I guess.
I totally forgot Ga State hired a former App alum and coach to lead your program.
Can someone explain to me (serious question) the Georgia State / ULM game? Going through Georgia State’s schedule that’s the one game I see that says maybe they can beat anyone in the Sun Belt.
Was it a matchup thing or just a fluke or what happened?

What? It's been brought up ad nauseum before he was even hired.
Satterfield and Elliott were roommates, no joke. Satterfield borrowed Elliott's car (Elliott's dad was a car dealer) to take his now-wife on their first date.
When Jerry Moore was nudged aside in 2012, Cobb wanted Elliott or Satterfield. Elliott publicly declined to interview because things were good at USC-East.
In August 2014, less than two months after joining the Sun Belt, Cobb bolted for Georgia State when he knew the WBB coach would have to be fired for a litany of issues. Then he hired several of his App staff (many of whom have gotten out of Atlanta since then). There were also budget problems when he left, which Gillin has since corrected.
When things went south at USC-East for Shawn, Cobb knew he was going to fire Miles and had tunnel vision for Elliott. Cobb wanted to fire Miles the year before, but the four-game win streak and Cure Bowl bid saved him for a few more games. Remember how Miles didn't get an extension despite being Sun Belt COTY? App fans basically had a can on a string connection to downtown ATL and we knew Miles was gone weeks before he was. Go back to the GSU head coaching search threads. Every App fan said Cobb was zeroing in on Elliott.

Short answer? The inconsistencies of young players
Bit longer answer?
In the ULM game, the young defense somehow pulled their sh!t together long enough to stay focused for the most part. Typically, our young guys commit mental mishaps, make dumb decisions, and generally look confused. These guys were supposed redshirt this year but our depth really thinned out around week 2-3.
Our offense (with Dan Ellington as QB1...he hasn't played since his concussion few weeks ago) is actually talented enough to stay competitive. The problem is....our corps of young running backs usually commit several unnecessary fumbles in every game that kills our nice long drives. Somehow, we didn't commit stupid turnovers in the ULM game.

Charlie Cobb's rolodex has fewer entries than T-Dog's little black book.

Re-read what Fanther wrote.....he was poking fun at the "former alum" part. How does one become a former alum? You're either an alum or you're not.

So yeah, twisting the knife isn't necessary friends.
I’m in the minority I would sign one to two jucos. we have already endured the hardships. It just creates problems down the road.
