CUSA isn’t even the worst basketball conference in FBS, much less the country. The NCAA doesn’t put out a conference NET ranking, buy the NET by Warren Nolan currently has CUSA 3rd among the G5 and 13th out of 32 overall. It’s absolutely a mediocre conference, but to call it the worst is just silly.

why are some of you setting yourselves up for this

Sorry. We are currently tied for 4th place in the 13th best conference in the country. That should make things look a whole lot better.

Setting selves up for what? Nobody is saying the team is going to win CUSA and make a run to the Sweet 16. All I've seen so far is that this team is much improved over all of Doc's previous teams and is comparable to an NIT Team.

They have won 5 in a row and 8 out of last 10. it is my understanding that they have guaranteed themselves in the top pod, which guarantees a top 5 seeding in the CUSA Tourney. Yes, they will most likely lose some more games, and it's unlikely they win the CUSA Tourney. But they are playing some pretty good basketball and are fun to watch now that they are playing well.

it's beats living shite out of the product since DT left us in chaos....

now he has a full compliment of scholly's and is running a completely different offense and defense....

Theys killin' us the 2nd half, FIRE DOC, it's only 77-43 now...

50 point lead when Doc pulled starters. Utep sux, but this has all still been very impressive of late. For that matter, lost some very close games so could easily have an even better showing. Including to #18 Kansas State. I'm in shock.
