Rust lost at Alcorn St 103-66 today. Earlier this week they lost by 40 or so at Ms Valley State. If we repeat William Carey then Doc might want to clean out his office when the game is over.

RE: basketball games of interests
A bit of a head scratcher here. Our next game is Dec 11 at home vs national powerhouse Millsaps Majors. I went to their website and see that they are 8-0 on the season already but they've completely omitted us on their schedule as well as the most recent recap of their last game.
https://gomajors.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball
https://gomajors.com/news/2018/12/1/mens...70-60.aspx
What's Next?
Millsaps, who now sits at 8-0 on the year, will have some time off as the academic semester comes to a close. The Majors will be back in action on Tuesday, December 18th when they travel down Riverside Drive to take on Belhaven.

Unless WKU can rally from an 11 point 2nd half deficit CUSA will go 3-3 on the night
ODU, FAU and UNT with wins while MTSU, Marshall and WKU all lose.

I find it interesting that, for how much talent and hype Stansbury has brought into WKU, they still lose some bad games.

Agreed. During preseason their fans were acting like they would go the regular season with 5 losses or less (not those exact words but they had a feeling they would be a beast), yet through 8 games they are 4-4 with the possibility of losing 3 of their next 5 before CUSA play starts.
To me the biggest disappointment has been MTSU. I realize they lost their coach and their schedule this year is brutal but they are 1-6 so far. Their lone win was by 3 while of their 6 losses all have been by double digits and 4 of the 6 by 19 or more points. It's like they hired Ellis Johnson....well almost, they did win at least 1 already.

Exactly. Thats EVERY preseason. Their fans annoy me as much as anyone. La Tech fans #2 (in Cusa anyway). Any time either have a hint of success they march around like they are Ric Flair. It would be hilarious if not so annoying. I take more pleasure in WKUs misery as almost anyone elses. Considering how they have collapsed in football, like i told them they would, and now basketball has been doing the same.....ive mostly gotten over their Ric Flair Syndrome. Louisville's misery still makes me the happiest to see.

FWIW..the NET rankings (supposedly replaces the RPI system) from the NCAA website as of 12/4/18. And just like baseball RPI this fluctuates quite a bit up until around game 15-20 range

104 - La Tech
105 - Marshall
113 - ODU
142 - WKU
158 - USM
169 - UAB
170 - FAU
184 - UTSA
226 - UTEP
241 - Charlotte
273 - MTSU
274 - FIU
316 - Rice

Wichita St loses by 32 vs Oklahoma and falls to 4-4. Our game vs them is looking more favorable than it did when the season started if we can avoid a William Carey or Cancun lack of effort.
