A job that will open up after the 2019 season would be Missouri. That would be a good fit for Neal Brown.

You need to be looking in the HS ranks for a coach for Kansas.....the ultimate dead end.

2007 they played in a BCS bowl and were one win from playing in the national title game.

Not like it is impossible to win there.

They hired Turner Gill coming off a losing season at Buffalo, Charlie Weiss who couldn't exceed mediocre at Notre Dame, hired Dave Beatty who was "run game coordinator" for a bleh TAMU team.

The problem is less Kansas is a dead end and more one of AD's who don't know diddly about hiring football coaches.

Perhaps it's their excuse to keep the expenditures low?

Satterfield and Brown would both kill their mother in laws to get an offer from Kansas. That school has money to burn.

You should stop eating glue. Neither of those two are looking to derail their careers.

The good news is if you do bomb at a Kansas type of program its not really held against you. Especially if you are a successful at a G-5 level like NB and SS have been.

Kansas and Willie Fritz would be the right combination. He'd win more than they would expect him to, he'd lose some games that make you scratch your head ... and he's old enough it could be his last stop. His past recruiting JUCO ties in Kansas would be highly beneficial, not to mention his ties he has now established in Texas and Georgia.

But I hope he stays at Tulane and continues to not be bowl eligible.

Maybe Kansas can take a flyer on Bobby Patrino and he can bring Brian VanGorder with him. Kansas is one of the schools that neither has coached at yet, and VanGorder would love coaching against those Big 12 offenses....

Nobody in the big 12 expects a team to play defense anyway. You might be onto something with BVG.

Word on the street is that Brohm is headed to Louisville as soon as the season is over, 7 years, $5mil a year.

Also, Les Miles has settled with LSU for a lump sum payment of $1.5mil and he is done with thier contract, which means he has a job lined up somewhere.

It’s speculated that Kansas has him in mind as he met with them recently. I liked miles but he was caught between a Rock and a hard place. The rock being Alabama’s dominance over the SEC west and him and staff being unable to get good to great Qb play. That said I think he can do better.
