This is how this nonsense happens every time. I discuss strategy and what works/doesn't work, and then those who can't stick to a discussion devolve into personal attacks. Like it or not, Keatts brought a system that worked which has now been adopted by two traditionally crappy in state schools who just beat us(one smoked us). Personally attacking Keatts(or me) doesn't change the truth.
Y'all enjoy the downward spiral.
Forgive me a little here. I’m catching back up after working a night shift in the middle of a normal work week.
To be fair, I posted this “Cool it.” post not as a reply to a specific person but I could, like everyone else here, sense the unnecessary tension. Referring back to post #95 on this thread I made a casual joke concerning myself and Mullet. 82, you specifically at that point decided to go on the offensive on your own volition there. Nobody has personally attacked Keatts here. There are varying opinions here on him, and quite honestly the majority of us simply have moved on from caring about him, regardless of how he left because we are far more concerned with our Seahawks currently for better or worse. Downward spiral, upward spiral, corkscrew, on the tracks, off the tracks, whatever... I’m going to enjoy it all because it’s UNCW Seahawks basketball.
Regardless, we all need to chill and remember we are on the same team here. We may have differing Xs and Os opinions on what works or doesn’t but none of us should feel personally slighted by comments on a message board. Personally, I don’t care if someone says they do or don’t have more basketball knowledge than I. Who cares? This is a classic example of the need to just relax.
Anyways...
We’ve seen success using a defensive minded “slow the game and offense” method succeed and we’ve seen high tempo offense and press succeed. We’ve also seen how both failed us and the stubbornness of coaches in those systems led to losses. The grass is always greener. I’m confident McGrath is going to get to a style that works.
Go Seahawks.
