On Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at newly renovated Fifth Third Arena, the Bearcats and Buckeyes will open the season on ESPN2 with the first of a two-game home-and-home series. Next year, the teams will meet at Value City Arena in Columbus.
The schools have not met on each other's court during regular-season play since 1921. The Bearcats won that game 33-17, which was the home opener for the Buckeyes. Ohio State has not played the Bearcats in Cincinnati since Jan. 3, 1920, a 35-13 win for the Buckeyes.

Standing room only tickets have been made available for $40.

I don't have a good feeling about tonight and think OSU takes this by about 12. I admit that I don't know much about basketball, but I don't see how we will get enough offensive production out of this group.

It would be nice to have the fun of a win to hold us over until Saturday night's football game.

Ohio State has two players on their roster who averaged more than 2.9 points for the team last year. They have just as many offensive questions.

my main concern is our front line scoring enough. The defense will probably always be there. If our guards get hot, they could offset that but over the years, our guards tend to not be consistent shooting. Oh well, let's hope for a victory over the buckeyes.

Brooks just came out. But he played an amazing 2 minutes. 2 blocks, 2 offensive rebounds and caused a turnover by forcing their big to pass out.

I was hoping for a faster start, but so far I'm okay with the emotional "temperature" of this game. The guys are fired up, but they don't look out of control. Right out of the gate we look like a typical Bearcats defensive team. Just need to work the ball inside more and get some shots to drop.
