St. Joe's looking even better than preseason projections, taking out Wake Forest, 89-69, in the Myrtle Beach Invitational today. Will be another very tough home game.

The road immediately ahead, especially while our team is in an experimental phase each game,
looks very tough.

Northeastern with a strong win over Alabama, 68-52. They face VA Tech tomorrow. Will be ironic if they make it to the final with Davidson, then have a matchup at Davidson a week later. Alabama was picked 7th in the SEC preseason ranking, and had scored 81 and 82 points in their first two wins.

Good conference win; maybe a 2 bid CAA is not out of the question this year especially if NE doesn't win the tourney title.

I really expect the top half of the conference to get some solid OOC wins and keep good ratings going into conference play. The key will be if the bottom half of the conference can be respectable in OOC, so, that the ratings for the top teams will stay solid during conference play. Two bids will never happen unless the league is solid top to bottom, even if multiple deserving teams are at the top. I, also, think the CAA vs A10 games will be key to league perception.

Pulling for all CAA schools until the end of December when we open with the Dukes. I hope we can get a win tonight. So far, Duquesne and Radford lead the Gotham Classic at 2-0. We could still be technical winners of the Classic if we win out over UIC, ND and Radford. The Tribe would only need Duquesne to stumble in their final 2 games(or lose to Radford and then have a 3 way tie).

Hofstra- Incomplete, not enough information yet
UNCW- is either struggling more than expected, or has a difficult schedule
COC- looks solid so far
JMU- got a good win at ECU. The rest of their nonconference might not tell much at all. Not many decent opponents on there.

VA Tech clobbered Northeastern in Charleston semis, 88-60. Need to rinse and repeat their gameplan in our games against Northeastern.

Say what you will, but their game against Charlotte tonight won't be as easy as first thought. Charlotte came back to beat Oklahoma State last time out, and Ron Sanchez has the 49ers trending in the right direction with good defense and four 3-star players signed yesterday.

Is he hurt?

Wrist hurt and he tried to go in game with Davidson this past Sunday, but hampered and pulled out early second half. Assume he'll be out awhile.
