All-Time W&M Basketball Team
Tribe Super Fans of the CSN Boards,

All of those throwback videos from today got me thinking...if we could create an all-time W&M Basketball team (let's say, 5 starters -- and an honorary 6th man), what would our line up look like?

Thornton, Giermak, Lowenhaupt, Cohen, Chambers...Knight. Just some suggestions.

Let the debate begin. 05-stirthepot

I'll only select players I've seen in person at the Hall (going back to 1980 is my starting point):
3 Guards- Keith Cieplicki, Marcus Thornton, and David Cohn
2 Forwards/Center- Brant Weidner and Nathan Knight

Not bad at all. Since I go back just a little further, I would substitute Lowenhaupt for Cohn. Although I think Weidner actually played in the NBA (so obviously a good choice), I was always partial to David Cully's defensive prowess.

Fuzzy McMillan was the heart of those terrific W&M hoop teams at point guard. He has to be in any top ten list.

McMillan, I omitted, was on those terrific W&M teams of the 1940s that had remarkable records

Cully definitely should be in the discussion. He was a consistent double digit rebounder. And, if I'm not mistaken, he was statistically one of the top shot blockers in the country his senior year.
