Gary Clark | Rockets
Well Gary Clark got some time today in a lopsided loss, and put up 11 points, 3/7 from 3 with 4 boards. 7th on the team in minutes. Good to see him productive in his time.

RE: Gary Clark | Rockets
Gary is basically playing a polar opposite game in the NBA vs. his time in Clifton.

5-13 from 3
1-2 from 2

Avg time in paint is just below 2 seconds per possession in the pros at the moment.

RE: Gary Clark | Rockets
I heard Mick interviewed recently and he felt Houston was exactly the right spot for Gary. Paraphrasing a little here, but he suggested that Gary is a great student of the game and only has to be told once what is expected for a given play or possession. Mick thought that was a real benefit for the Rockets current blend of talent and experience.

My hope is that Gary has a long, successful career in the NBA. Good for Gary;good for UC to have increased visibility in the NBA.

Gary's not going to score much inside against NBA guys. He was our best 3 point shooter last year and his best role is as a 3 and D guy. He's been getting into most of the games, I wonder if they'll consider moving him to the full time roster.

It's interesting of all the guys out of this area from last year he's the one playing nba minutes from the get go, particularly given he wasn't drafted. Says a lot about his skill set.

True but Evans is also sitting behind the greatest roster ever assembled.

It wasn't lost. Klay Thompson stole it from him.

He couldn’t shoot the ball at the end of last season due to injury and whatever else was going on with him. Changed it and now can’t get on the court.

Yeah, I remember it well. I was kidding, given Thompson's ridiculous game the other night.

Golden State has the luxury of taking some chances. I would bet right now that Clark will amass more Nba numbers than Evans. He can be the prototype role player. #Undrafted.

I'm not an NBA fan - but I do have to say that I have been secretly (or not so secretly) paying attention to the Rockets and Golden State just to see how Gary and Jacob are doing.

I think Gary has the potential to be a great player - who knows what ultimately happens in the long run, but for UC it's great to have as many players in the NBA dominating!

Surviving.

It's surprising that, Mr Clark, is getting the mins that he is. Eric Gordon was out, so that may have helped a bit. Nevertheless, the fact that a rookie is logging these types of mins on a team with title aspirations is a testament to the work he's put in to earn a role. I'd say he's definitely exceeding expectations.

Gary's life will get even more interesting depending on what the Rockets do. Draft picks for Butler makes the short term bad but long term good. But I could see them trying to go for Kevin Love and I'm sure he would be wanted by the Cavs. Gary's ability and (owner) favorable contract make him attractive.

RE: Gary Clark | Rockets
If Gary can keep hitting his 3's he's going to keep getting minutes. His help defense is still great and his rejection of Zach LaVine at the rim last night proved that.

We thought Evans was the 3 and D guy, maybe its Gary.

I think also with Harden back in the lineup now Clark is a guy who go gets the ball on the glass and that is what they need to get the ball to Harden and Paul. Anthony to a lessor extent as he's way to inconsistent a shooter, but rebounding is a key in that lineup.

RE: Gary Clark | Rockets
Clark logged 24 minutes tonight, 6 pts, 6 boards and a big block of McDermott's 3 pt try in q4. He also had 4 of the rebound and the block in q4 as Houston came from behind to beat Indy. 1/6 from 3, but he was stellar in q4.
