Well if they’re playing us again we won’t be 7-5 and our last loss will be to them and they hate us too, so it’ll work out.

Oh and you have to have divisions to have a CCG with 10 teams.

Wrong, you can also play a CCG without divisions if you play a straight round robin. For us, that would have meant playing 9 league games. That is how the Big 12 does theirs. 10 team round robin, 9 league games. Top 2 play in title game.

Yes, but fortunately we weren’t stupid enough to take that option.

If you play a round robin schedule no CCG is necessary.

I know. We talked about that 5 hours ago good sir. I excluded that option since it would be a stupid option and hence, why we didn’t do it.

My point is there is no need for a CCG playing a round robin conf schedule. Looks like you were wrong again.

It has been said numerous times (by terry and other league officials) that’s never going to happen because in order to play round robin, you’d have to drop down to 3 OOC games and majority of the league wasn’t on board with that

Sure, but it makes guaranteeing 6 home games to everyone extremely difficult. I like the idea, but there's a snowballs chance in hell you'd get a bunch of football coaches to agree to give up their one free (well, I guess should be free) win of the year.

That late in the year, earlier games are preferable.

For us former FCSers, we're use to December noon games on TV.

I don’t think you understand the goof we were making.

I know I’d forgotten about the round robin option. See the discussion literally 5 hours before you corrected what had already been corrected.

I actually kind of like the idea of kicking off the day of CCGs.

It's up against the Big 12's game on ABC but still we'll get a lot of casual eyeball's who are making a day of it before their favorite team plays.

12 noon is a good kickoff time for this game.
Tailgate much?
Noon kickoffs are terrible. What to grill? Waffles? Sausages? When to set up? 5:30 am? Ptooie. Should kickoff at 3:00

We're never going to kickoff at 3. Remember, there's a world somewhere in which Georgia State could be hosting the game, and there would be a much larger football game a couples miles up the road kicking off at the same time.

I doubt we ever get put opposite the SEC. We'll perpetually get the Noon kick against the Big 12, or the Nighttime Kick against the ACC and Big 10.

One of the best atmosphere’s ever at KBS was a Friday night December playoff game against Richmond. Hell, we even stood in line past midnight to get National Championship tix. No one died or got frostbite. That being said, if we are fortunate enough to host, noon is fine with me.

We couldn't ask for a better TV channel or time. There not much local conflict for viewers of most of our schools who reside in ACC/SEC states. (Sorry Texas St/Big 12). The noon kickoff will negatively affect tailgating, but, IMO that's a small price to pay for the potential exposure we could generate.

Is it NCAA rule that to have a CCG you either have divisions or play round robin??? Not sure why that would be a requirement.
