I certainly wouldn’t mind playing in Detroit. But overall, I just want a winnable matchup. I would definitely travel to one of the Alabama bowls as well if that’s where we end up.

For those of you in the Detroit area, flights to Miami, Montgomery and Dallas are reasonable @ $240-300. Mobile and Nassau are out if the question for me. I am not interested in sitting in the cold another week in Boise.

How much do game tickets usually cost for a MAC bowl game?

Montgomery is about 2 hrs from Atlanta. Low cost and direct flights. Just gotta add a car rental.

ESPN has us in the Camellia Bowl against App State OR the Quick Lane Bowl against UL Monroe (ESPN has two people doing predictions).

Ball State beat WMU. WMU finishes with NIU next week and if they lose will finish 6-6. The possibility of a bowl snub exists for them and may increase our chances of getting the Detroit game.

WMU is out of bowl season.

I normally don’t comment on football. But 7-5 with a win against a middle range big ten team makes EMU very attractive to bowl games. No way they get snubbed.

If WMU is out with a 6-6 record, why do we presume that we would be in at 6-6?

I'd be happy for a bowl game anywhere in the continental US. Detroit is the cheapest ticket for me, but any non-Bahamas bowl would be great.

Don't look now but Miami upset Northern Illinois last night. This means that the MAC might get up to 7 bowl eligible teams. I'm sure at least one or two of them will get snubbed. The bottom line for emu is that the Kent State game is now a must-win.
