UAB@NT is kinda weird for rivalry week.

We get a chance to avenge our double digit blown lead against UAB. That game could decide who wins C-USA West. A very good matchup.

UTSA & UNT need to be playing the last week of the season every year I swear this conference makes no sense. How is that game being played in September??? Is it a computer that generates these schedules or is CUSA just that incompetent

Bobby Wilder thinks Campbell would be a better choice for the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary to play.

I really like playing ODU the last week. As new as we both are to football, and as close as we are to each other in this conference I hope this becomes a trend. Really hope this is a meaningful game for both of us. Charlotte hasn't had a meaningful final week since we started football truthfully.

I approve of the Marshall - FIU match up, although I wouldn't mind playing FAU that week either.

Agreed and I wouldn't mind having an away game after thanksgiving.
Push the UAB game to the end and there is still a slight chance that Tech could be in the hunt for the west and make it a meaningful game. @UNT, @Marshall and @UAB will probably mean there is nothing on the line in the last game for us except maybe a 7th win and a guarantee of a bowl game.

Yeah, nothing wrong with matching up the last two years’ division winners. Both should be strong again this year.

Look. Say what you will, but when Rice and UTEP play you can throw out the records. Just remember when you do to wrap those records up in paper like so much stinky fish.

If I had my way...

UNT/LA Tech would always be our first conference game of the season.

UNT/Rice would always be played on Halloween.

UNT/UTSA would always be played the last week of the season.

clt would like to see odu and Charlotte tennis play the last match of the year

I don't think that has happened yet.

The whole "Rivalry Week" concept is misguided to begin with. As difficult as scheduling can be, it just ties the hands of those trying to juggle home/away/intra-divisional/inter-divisional/OOC matchups. And while some of you wanna see the same teams play each other at the same time every year, whether it's the last week of the season or some other week, I just think that would be boring. It's more dynamic from year to year when the week we play people changes.

And as we've said on multiple threads here, our current C-USA membership doesn't have enough true rivals yet to even give two ***** about whom we schedule on something called "Rivalry Week" anyway. This concept needs to just go away.
