Would the Sun Belt override their Bowl Commitments to send App to the Independence Bowl? It would likely be in the best interest of the conference to try to push for App to play against an AAC or ACC school given the chance. Otherwise they will be buried playing another MAC team.

Personally, the location of the bowl isn't as big of a concern as the opponent at this point. Mobile or Montgomery would be fine if the school was from the AAC or Marshall. Otherwise it will be Buffalo or EMU.

You trying to tell me you don’t want our bowl game on the same hallowed grounds as Calumet Lubricants and the Louisiana State Fair!?!? My lord our bowl destinations are the worst. They ought to send the two worst teams in FBS to face off in that bowl.

You trying to tell me you don’t want our bowl game on the same hallowed grounds as Calumet Lubricants and the Louisiana State Fair!?!? My lord our bowl destinations are the worst. They ought to send the two worst teams in FBS to face off in that bowl.

Shreveport isn’t one of our bowl destinations, this would be an at-large bid

After Virginia beat Miami I may want to steer clear of them. But I still think it would be a good game :)

so you feel the Independence Bowl is beneath us now? a bowl that is one of the oldest, typically has SEC/ACC tie-ins and pays close to$1.5 million?

Is the Peach Bowl or Cotton Bowl OK with you? or do you feel we only deserve the Rose or Sugar Bowl?

One bowl prediction showed App in Tuscon against San Diego State. Great opponent, not that best location for App fans, obviously.

I could see Independence taking ULM again. We had a nice crowd in horrible weather. I would prefer New Orleans. I froze my butt off in Shreveport.
