Halfway Point: Biggest Surprises
Curious as to your opinion on the following:

1.) What SBC player has surprised you the most - positively?
Zac Thomas

2.) What SBC player has surprised you the most - negatively?
Justice Hansen

3.) What part of your overall game play surprises you the most?
Special teams seem pretty dang solid.... I think the Zac attack is a bigger surprise.

4.) What SBC team has surprised you the most - positively?
Georgia Southern. Very well may be the 2nd best team App plays in the regular season.... and it will be in gnatsville.....

5.) What SBC team has surprised you the most - negatively?
Troy

Plenty can change in the 2nd half.

Zac Thomas

Caleb Evans

GS inside linebackers

Coastal (when Kilton Anderson is playing they can probably play with most G5 teams).

Zac Thomas

Hansen, though I believe Anderson has a lot to do with his play

Linebackers a lot of freshman and RS freshman playing like seniors

APP, second youngest team in the FBS thought we would struggle more with all the youngsters

I don't know why Troy is all of a sudden the disappointment to some of you folks. We have the only P5 win and started out 5-1. What do you expect when we just lost our superstar QB?

1. Brinson for Georgia Southern

2. The entire AState offense

3. Uhh...we won our OOC games this year...so there!

4. Georgia Southern. I thought they'd be better, but not this good

5. (I am banning myself from saying Arkansas State for one negative question) Troy. I think they let the Nebraska win get to their heads a little down there. That wasn't a good team when they beat Nebraska that day. They weren't good when they almost lost in Monroe the next week, and they were really not good in Lynchburg Saturday. Losing Barker stings, but if your offense is entirely based on the success of a single player, it's a very flawed offense.

I expected that out of Smith. I'm just disappointed in the way you guys have reacted in general. You started 5-1 against a schedule that most decent teams would have started 5-1 against. I just didn't like the attitude after beating Nebraska. You guys were always significantly flawed. Neal Brown has pointed that out before. Perhaps the Barker injury brought the issues to the forefront earlier than expected, but I felt that both Georgia Southern and App would have beaten you with Barker. I certainly still do without Barker.
