Week 7 Power Rankings
Not usually a Sun Belt West talker but for the moment like a couple years ago it really does feel like SOCON 2.0 atm. What i will say is if Troy had their actual qb is it would be app troy then gs

RE: Week 7 Power Rankings
1. App State (-) - Remain on top
2. Georgia Southern (+2) - GS started 8th on my first power ranking of the season and have worked their way up to 2nd.
3. Troy (-1) - What is you doing, Troy? Liberty? Is the injury to Barker going to derail the whole season?
4. Louisiana (+2) - 66 points. Wow. Cajuns aren't back, but they may be by 2019.
5. Arkansas State (-2) - I still think A-State is the team to beat this year in the Woeful West. UL has been better lately though.
6. ULM (+2) - Big win for ULM today to put them back in the race for the West. Oh and suck it East, we finally got a win!
7. Coastal (-2) - Bad loss at home today to ULM
8. Georgia State (-1) - Sorry to drop you on your bye week. Blame ULM.
9. South Alabama (-) - I really wanted to reward the Jags for winning today and move them up the rankings, but who have they passed?
10. Texas State (-) - Campaigns to fire ADs, banners being flown, media picking up stories of AD and coaching failures, emptiest stadium I've ever seen at TXST for a nationally televised game. Rock. Bottom.

Vomit or not it feels so right to have Geo South vying with us for the top spot again.

Too bad we're in the same division. Can you imagine App vs GS as the legit Conference Championship game?

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that has ULM ranked multiple spots ahead of GSU that we beat them by 32 points just 2 weeks ago.
Welcome to the Funbelt.

Georgia Southern also almost lost to Texas St., so that wasn’t super impressive either. Heck we could lose to them next weekend too with our Jekyl and hide play, so not talking trash. Just saying.

We've always had weird games at Texas St.

Just thankful to have a W during a weekend where Team Chaos showed up.

Georgia Southern beat Arkansas State by a touchdown, primarily because of Anderson's failure to take points when afforded to them. Georgia Southern also beat Texas State by 2 and has no discernable offensive philosophy.

Make no mistake GS has a long way to go. No illusions here. I'll throw this out there to refine your prognostications. Either you dismiss the first qtr of the GS Ark state game or you missed it. Penalties had a significant impact on what appeared to be a solid game plan. Total dominance without the deluge of flags that came for the first time in the season. The Texas state WIN 2,000 miles away weekday game came while a cat 4/5 hurricane is bearing down on Georgia to find out you still have classes the next day after the red eye in an empty stadium. We'll see but you can add that to your calculations.

We have a very discernable offensive philosophy.

We just look rough right now.

Kinda like ya'll did as Satterfield retooled his offense to what it is now as well as dealt with OL depth issues that had to get sorted out.

App's philosophy has always been apparent. Southern's offense is similar to a watered down version of what Fritz ran, but also with much less conviction.
