That’s the thing about opinions, everyone has one. Like I said, been watching for more than 30 years. Our starters have played no more than a half of football in each game since PSU. What’s been good about that is that we have had a chance to see 2,3,4 string and this team has the best 2 deep we’ve ever had and the three deep looks good too. I’ve also watched a lot of SBC football this year (thanks espn Plus) there is no one on our schedule that is as complete a team as AppState. I’m not expecting a 58-7 win tomorrow, but I do see three touchdowns. We are fresh, hungry, good across the board in every phase of the game. You can wait if you want too, but I’ve seen enough for an informed opinion.

I get what you're saying and don't disagree. But I also think when all is said and done we can very well finish the year 11-1 and still not be 100% sure where this team ranks. I think losing the USM game cost us our best litmus test in OOC. We know Charlotte and GW are garbage. We have no idea if PSU was us clicking at absolute 100% (in other words not a repeatable expectation). But USM seems pretty good this year when I last looked and that could have been a nice barometer.
