My prediction=If things hold TxSt will win the Bubas with over a 15 point margin. A shame for me there is no money in Bubas Cup prediction.

RE: Bubas Cup 2018-2019
Bubas Cup 2018-2019 is in the books. Texas State takes the Cup for the first time.

On the first tab of my spreadsheet are the actual points. I have the most important column highlighted in green.

On the tab “Sports by Season” one can find some info where I compared the number of points earned to number of points possible to earn. Texas State did the best here as well. The important column is highlighted in green.

Under the “Women's and Men's Separate” tab one will note that Texas State had the most points from the women’s sports and UTA had the most from the men’s sports. UTA was the most balanced with only one point between their women and men teams.

The “Unity Points” tab is my effort to make every sport carry equal weight, unlike the official method were points are based on the number of schools participating in the sport. VB is worth 12 while men’s soccer is worth 5. Texas State is the leader here as well.

Congratulations to the Bobcats of Texas State!

And your spreadsheet hits on one of the hard parts about its sports. 10th in the fall, where we don’t offer football or either soccer.

First in the winter sports and 3rd in the spring. Our fall sports do well usually, there’s just not enough of them.

I would like to add points per capita as the larger schools do have an easier time with budgets it would seems or points per $ spent but those numbers arrive next year and accounting can vary across state lines. That would be an interesting way to see who gets more bang for their buck.
