On a more serious note, I hope whoever the new coach is brings in a new OC.

It would be hard to imagine the new head coach looking at the offensive performance and not thinking, "this is an oozing, pus-filled boil in need of a proper lancing".

Agree on the need for a new OC (if we even have one-does DJ really call the plays?). Totally disagree on the need for a new DC.

Andrews was the DL coach when I worked for the program and he was legitimately the nicest person on the staff and his position group seemed to absolutely love him (and he got a ton out tof them too).

All that said, our defense seems it should be a lot better on talent alone. I really can't understand where the disconnect is. It's easy (for me) to point to coaching but I'm still willing to give Andrews the benefit of the doubt here.

I agree we have a lot of talent on D, and it's hard to fully measure our D given how inept our offense has been for the past two seasons. Multiple short fields and poor time of possession puts ridiculous stress on the D. But I think overall our defensive game plans have been solid
