I felt BL was our guy all along. The outcome of at least some of the first 3 games may have been different. It was like the coaches didn't want to give up on SW. The Charlotte game...the team had to evacuate Norfolk due to the hurricane. They traveled to Charlotte early on Tuesday. Then Charlotte moved up the game from Saturday to Thursday. That was just a crazy week. Hopefully, going forward, we can win more games with BL as our quarterback.

I understand why they were so high on SW. He got better as last season progressed and it wasn't like LaRussa was lighting the world on fire then either. I think they were worried that if they yanked SW early, they'd have another Bentley situation where he never recovered.

Now that the redshirting rules have changed and they feel confident in LaRussa, they can redshirt SW, giving him two years after LaRussa graduates to improve and compete for the job.
