No one made a game thread so here it is...GS up 27-13 midway through the 3rd.

GS still up 27-13 at the end of the 3rd but UMass is driving after a GS fumble.

TD GS 34-13 with two minutes to go in the game.

That's the game. GS wins 34-13 in a game they wern't supposed to win according to pre-season predictions.

Way to go, GS!! Good win.

Shai is looking much better commanding the offense. We’ve already equaled the win total from last year. Time to collect the paycheck from Clemson and move on to StAte.

This UMass team scored 55 points on us last year....UMass returned 9 offensive starters including their QB. The UMass team also beat App State.

We're on the right track...

This is an unreal job by Coach Lundsford and staff. This team is playing clean, disciplined and extremely focused.

Overall I'd say tonight's game was very solid for GS. I personally think we shouldn't have gone for it in the 1st half when we were in FG range but hey that's why I'm not the coach. Again tonight I thought the D looked really good and Werts ran the option to near perfection tonight. It's early in the season but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

I am as well. Still lots of things we can work on but also lots of time to work on it. I’m kind of hoping Clemson calls the game off due to the hurricane, and we get 3 solid weeks to prep for conference play.

I understand that and playing Clemson isn't really going to tell us a whole lot more about ourselves at this point. Still I hope the hurricane goes the other way...

Yes please. I'd rather not have to evacuate for the 3rd year in a row.

Also, We looked fantastic tonight. Wasn't too sure what to expect,but man oh man.... its been 2 years since we've seen our team look this good. Going to be a fun year.

Offense was really good. Defense was not. But, I love that we are improving.

That's a solid win.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that the defense didn’t have a good game.

It was a good bend-don’t-break effort. They allowed 22-of-33 passing, but for only 190 yards. And UMass was just 5/13 on third downs. They were blowing past us for huge plays all throughout last year’s game. Last night, the Eagles kept everything in front of them. In fact, they’ve only allowed one play of more than 20 yards over their first two games.
